Physical and Career Education Subjects are out from SSC Exam

Of late, the Dhaka Education Board has published a notice by saying that there will no Exam in SSC from 2018 on the two subjects such as, Physical Education, Health Science & Sports and Career Education. The notice was published on the board website dated on the May 02, 2017. It makes all the candidates of SSC Examination clear and notify that the mentioned subject board examinations will no longer hold from 2018 which was so far taken by Board but, will be evaluated by the institution itself and the marks should be sent to the board after evaluating the candidates.

• The average marks should be taken from the 1st Semester and Pre-test examinations of these two subjects of the candidates of SSC Exam in 2018 and should be sent to the board. 
• Again, the average marks should be taken from the 1st Semester and 2nd Semester Examinations (For class Ix) and 1st Semester and Pre-test examinations (For class X) of these two subjects of the candidates of SSC Exam in 2019 and should be sent to the board.

Marks Distributions

Dhaka Education Board has notified the marks distributions for those two subjects in their notice which has been given below:
SUBJECT- Physical Education, Health Science & Sport:

• Total Marks         : 100
• Written              :   40
• Practical            :   60  

SUBJECT- Career Education:

• Total Marks         : 50
• Written              : 30
• Practical            : 20    

There are some certain criteria for evaluating behavior and values of the students. They are:

1. Punctuality;
2. Patriotism;
3. Honesty;
4. Leadership;
5. Discipline;
6. Co-operation/ Helpful Mentality;
7. Activeness;
8. Patience;
9. Consciousness/ awareness; 
10. Timeliness;

The above criteria will certainly help the students to build up their behavior, values and morality which are really essential for the students as well as for the each and every human being. They will make a student a real human being and a real patriot. On the contrary, if a student tries to maintain them, he will be extremely benefited as those above ten criteria are the most powerful assets and weapons for everyone to be successful in life. For the last couple of years, we are noticing the moral degradation of the entire nation. Realizing the fact, the Govt. and the Board have come to an end that our students should be sound from the point of view of Behavior and Values. Without ideal behavior and ethical sense, a nation can hardly achieve their success. Again, today's students are the future citizen of this country and so, they must build up their behavior and values with great care otherwise, national development is surely impossible. Because a man with ill behavior and values will never be a patriot. Therefore, without making more and more patriotic, Bangladesh will simply lag behind.
Again, the educational institutions have also great responsibility to implement/ execute those criteria cordially. It is not an easy task at all. But the result of this assessment has a sweet ending and betterment for the entire nation.
People of all classes should come forward to make this a successful one. From this point of view, the guardians have to perform their duty in a very decent way so that their children can realize the value of behavior and values in human's life.
